Outside!

As soon as I opened the curtains this morning, before it was fully light, Katie remembered that we have an outside now. And wanted to go straight out. I managed to hold her off long enough to get shoes on her feet (thankfully she was dressed already) and she ran out excitedly to her swing. She was so delighted that it made the whole chaos and unsettling worth it. She ran between the swing, her little seesaws and her spacehopper, too excited to choose.

She spent this morning with Kiki and her mummy. She had a fantastic time and was a very good girl, no accidents. They played really nicely and were sat eating a snack when I went to get her for swimming.

She was chuffed to bits to be going swimming - we were both too poorly last week - and had an absolute blast. She charged around the pool, did loads of stand up jumps in (not just the three humptydumptys we were supposed to!) and very much enjoyed "what time is it mister shark". Every single time her teacher looked at her, she ducked under the water and popped up with a big cheeky grin.

After swimming, I took her to her friend Henry's. She had a great time, and was a really good girl, but was a lot less successful with the toilet. A mixture of post-swimming, tiredness and a bit unsettled i suspect. But when I arrived, she was sat nicely at the table eating tea with them all and had really enjoyed playing with their cat.
