Bluetit
This is a different bluetit from last week's. This one was in my mother's garden. I'd been standing at the kitchen window for some time, watching a busy wren. I never cut back the dead clematis as it's a great housing estate for tasty insects and the small birds love the protective tangle of old stems. Especially the wren, who's often there.
I failed to photograph him - he's so quick. (Back in the summer, I did succeed in capturing my very first wren, in my own garden - a juvenile.) But, while I watched, several bluetits, a great tit and a sparrow all arrived, searching for insects. This was my best shot. I was really pleased to capture a bluetit in a natural setting, rather than the ubiquitous nut-feeder shot.
