Whole lotta rosie!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, sorry, got quite carried away listening to AC/DC on Planet Rock there ...

Whole lotta autumn leaves! Fact: Beech trees drop four times as many leaves in the autumn as there were on it all summer, mostly in our back garden, at least that's what our nextdoor but one neighbour's tree seems to do.

However these leaves are on one of the two beautiful copper beech trees that live on the green infront of us. We can see them as we sit in bed having a cup of tea in the mornings and as it was January when we first moved here, we eagerly awaited with great anticipation to see what trees they were.

Most of their leaf bearing time they are a magnificent sight, full of aubergine coloured leaves, cascading down. Now they're shutting up shop for the winter and the leaves are a mix of colours. Couldn't possibly hope to capture how good they looked in the last few minutes of sunshine today, but quite liked this little sample.

Hope everyone's had a reasonable day for a Tuesday ( apparantly it's the worst day of the week ).
