IT SEEMED A GOOD IDEA

to cycle to the beach not in the dark, but a bit later when the sun was up.
Freezing cold the wind, however, was. Sally, the seal, nowhere to see.
Making a picture my bare hands froze. But, how wonderful is it to walk and how healthy too, the three of us agree, and freeze and have still a warm home to return too.
Later I visited the amazing animal shop and took there pictures in the warm space.

The yesterday's visit to the musea was a great success. In the Fotomuseum we saw: Gare du Nord. Dutch photographers in Paris, 1900-1968. So nice to see all the black & white pictures (only two or three photos only in colour) and experience the sphere of an almost forgotten aerea.
The exhibition in the Gemeentemuseum titled Paris City of Modern Art, 1900-1960. 40 masterpieces loaned by the Centre Pompidou to be enjoyed.

"Piggelmee" needs perhaps an explanation. In 1920 already Van Nelle, the famous dutch coffee roasting firm, made a little book for children: Het toovervisje.
It starts like this:

In het land der blonde duinen en niet heel ver van de zee woonde eens een dwergenpaartje en dat heette "Piggelmee" 't Waren heel, heel kleine menschjes en ze woonden -vreesl'lijk lot, want ze hadden heel geen huisje in een ouden keulschen pot.
A dwarf couple living in an old Cologne upside down pot behind the dunes not far from the sea.

My haiku:

Dew white grass covers
My mind floating far above
Little mouse shakes it off

And the proverb:

I gave the mouse a hole, and she is become my heir.
