Water for Free

A lot of you might enjoy the summer season, but not us. The average temperature is 9 degrees now and if you calculate the chill factor, it feels like 5 degrees. Not really a nice summer day. Today was a rainy day and for a Saturday that is not bad. Why? Because Saturday is outside cleaning day, and rain means fresh water for free. A lot of (old-fashioned) seamen still consider fresh water as valuable stuff. Nobody will waste it. Modern ships have evaporators on board to make fresh water out of seawater. We can make as much as 10.000 liters a day, but still we clean the ship on Saturday and we won't spoil any water.
