This lively photo of Steve Parker in the stocks popped into my email box this week.


Taken in 1985 during the annual summer fete at Sully hospital, near Barry it arrived in answer to my online request for photos relating to the hospital, about which I am writing a book.


Steve worked as a carpenter at the hospital and his account of his years there can be read on my blog: www.sullyhospital.blogspot.com


It makes me wonder how on earth we did our research in pre-internet days. The short answer is: with great difficulty.
