Not Mad, Just Sick
Just back from the U3A science meeting where the topic was Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies, (TSE's) which include sheep scrapie and BSE, the bovine equivalent (the term 'Mad Cow Disease' was coined by the British press). Several other species can also be affected including, as we all know, CJD in man.
