This has to do with our move from the States to Israel. We are not wealthy in any sense of the word except in the things of God. When we sensed that God was calling us back to Israel, we didnt even have the finances to buy one airline ticket. In the course of about two months, through gifts from various sources, we received enough for our tickets plus enough to lease an apartment with its deposit request as well as enough to live on for about two months. We had to let go of a piano keyboard and all other stuff with the exceptions of clothes and things we could stuff into two suitcases each and stay under the weight limits of the airlines. We also gave away a guitar. My wife, Jennifer, is a worshiper and has led worship in congregations for a number of years. So these were somewhat painful choices.
Since we have been in the land of Israel, we have prayed that God would provide the means for at least another guitar. I tell this story because; we went to a dinner last evening with friends we had known in the past when we lived here before. (We have been gone for just under four years). During the evening, there was a lot of conversation about photography and about our Lord. At one point, the man of the house jumped up from the table, went into another room and came back with a guitar in its case and handed it to Jennifer saying, this is for you. It has been unused for a long time and you could possibly put it to good use. They knew nothing of our need or prayers in this regard.
We know the God we serve and are constantly amazed when and how He watches over us. As I take the photo, I have noticed that there is no makers name anywhere on or inside this instrument. If anyone recognizes the make, we would love to know though it is not essential to the sound which is wonderful.
