When day is done

When night begins to fall, what can we say about the day that we have just passed through? What kinds of skid marks have we left as we hurried on our way, or was it just dust we left behind. Did we splash anyone with our desire to succeed through the traffic of everyday life? Possibly we may have left a mark on someone that they want to remember, or that they would rather forget. Was it a home run day or a strike out or maybe we just warmed a bench for the day.
Possibly this was a recouperating day or a holiday or a vacation. In any event, we have left a trail that marks the way to tomorrow.
