Donner Kebab!

Well bet you thought it would be Doner und Blitzen? except I couldn't spell it!
Had a quiet start to the day, tea & toast in bed (hubby will be finding the crumbs on his side) you didnt expect me to eat on my own side?

Went to the local church sale of work, not many there but then there was loads going on in Oban, & ARdrishaig and probably Tarbert too. Then decided on the spur of the moment to go to Oban to see the reindeer! Phoned my cousin and got her to come too along with chubby hubby. We took a risk leaving the mutts in the sitting room rather than the kitchen as they seem to know where all the food is!

Tipping rain in Oban but all the Obanites were out in force to see Santa & his reindeer rumble down the street. Finally managed to get close enough to fire off a shot or two. They looked quite nice. You may not know this but I have a connection with this reindeer's great great great grantparents! oh yes! I used to work at Glenmore Lodge in the Cairngorms about 25+ years ago and Mikel Utzi who brought the first ones over lived just along the road and I used to go in and help about and got to know these guy's ancestors' quite well.

Anyhows came home and unlocked the door with trepidation, crept into the living room and was immediatley almost bowled over by 12 paws trundling past me at break neck speed! Looked in and ...... things were not too bad at all. My growing pile of free CDs that come with photo magazines (which I never look at) were scattered hither and thither and one of them had tried to read the Oban Times but otherwise not too bad at all. Good doggies I thought but didnt actually tell them that, left them to suffer outside for a bit!

All settled in front of a glowing fire and thinking its time I had a wee cheeky Glayva

Have a good weekend all
