Expensive shopping

Waved husband off to his latest half-marathon and got an early start on the rest of the stripping.

Tried out the ceiling smoothing paint on the bay window ceiling. It worked OK-ish but will need a second coat and the ceiling still won't be flat. Decided that it will be too hard to cover the artex on the rest of the room so we'll just have to tolerate it for a bit longer.

Went to get paint and wallpaper this afternoon. Needed a sit down when I realised how much it all cost!

Should get to start making things look better tomorrow.
