Sleepy valley.
My boys were on a sleepover last night. We were too tired to go out, having been to a barbecue in the afternoon, so just enjoyed a night in, in front of the tv. As we weren't picking up the boys 'til 3 we decided to get up early and make the most of the time available to us. We drove about 30 kms outside Bodrum to an area called "the sleepy valley". It was beautiful; mini waterfalls, stunning trees, rickety bridges. A perfect place to experience a Turkish Autumn. We had a lovely village breakfast then headed back as I was due at school for 12 for a dance rehearsal. After I was done there, we went to the beach for coffee where several people were swimming and sunbathing! I lay on a sun lounger and read my book whilst thinking about how important it is for a couple to spend some quality time away from the children once in a while.
After collecting the boys, we made a quick trip to the market where we purchased lots of freshly grown produce and Necmi bought milk, straight from a cow(!), which he has used to make his own yoghurt! The milk is so creamy, I'm sure it'd make an amazing hot chocolate. All in all, a great day.
