Semington

After several days of rainy, grey, bleak weather spent at home, I had to get out no matter what, so Sunday afternoon found me at Semington for a short towpath walk along the Kennet and Avon to Seend Park Farm and back. The light was bad and it was softly raining so the results were not very good, suffering both from digital noise and soft focus from condensation on the lens.

My goal was to get reflections, but this wasn't an easy task given the conditions. Along the way we were accompanied for awhile by a friendly and talkative swan, who had the company of some mallard and a Canada goose, and the path took us across an aqueduct over the Trowbridge ring road, built in 2004, that I had not known was there.

There was not much colour to be had so I have converted this to monochrome. The (slightly enhanced) colour original is here.
