Surf Scoters are back!

I love coming to the island this time of year to see what ducks have returned! Today we left Seattle in a driving rain and wind, wondering if our ferry would run (It didn't yesterday morning due to storm) but all cleared up and calmed down for the ferry and us lucky souls to take our little boat to this island This flock of surf scoters has been hanging about all afternoon - the photo isn't so great as it was too dark and they weren't close enough for my lens and it had started raining again, but I think one can identify them. I'll try for better, later.

Took a walk around the property picking up fallen branches - nothing major thank goodness - there have been 2 big windstorms since we were here early November.

H is trying to figure out how to get a digital signal on the new little TV. An ongoing project I'm afraid. Tatum and family will be here tomorrow -I hope it's not too windy! (But there will be help with the TV cables from son#!) :-)
