This was taken this afternoon when I was in Chester. As usual it was a bit of a whistle stop whiz round the shops to get a few things and then back home but I had to take a blip of this and as I was leaving the centre another girl was taking a photo of it.

I'm not sure I'm happy with the new arrangement by the doctor to stop mum's insulin. Today it was very high and so I decided to give her insulin as I had previously been doing and like I was doing when told that mum's blood sugar was well controlled.

I can't understand why they stopped it in hospital and then after a discussion between the hospital doctor and one of the GP's at mum's surgery they decided to stop the insulin and for me to monitor her blood sugar without it and if she has peaks of high blood sugar they will put her on tablets which they then told me has a higher chance of her having a hypo.

If it was well controlled before while on insulin why change everything to something that is risky and in the meantime of stopping the insulin mum is going through these high peaks of blood sugar where she's not feeling right.

She will be going into respite for two weeks from Monday all being well and I don't know what they'll be feeding her or whether they would monitor her blood sugar the way I do so I may just over-rule the doctors and put her back on insulin and maybe start again when she comes home.

It just doesn't make any sense to me why they would change her medication now after all this time when it was working so well as it was.
