Today I found that I no longer have an aversion to marmalade. This isn't the first discovery of it's kind. A few weeks ago I found that my much hated nemesis dessert, namely lemon meringue pie, wasn't actually the hideous pile of goo as I had originally suspected.... For some 31 years. this coupled with my liking of gin, straight tonic water (diet of course), afternoon napping and any cheese that smells like feet can only lead me to one conclusion.... I am getting old.

So the rest of the day has been taken up pretty much with eating, shopping and of course afternoon napping. The silly season is upon u's so shopping, even midweek in a dismal Lowestoft was somewhat of a challenge.

Being the youngest person on this holiday by around 40 years I have, as usual, had an interesting insight into the attitudes of the old and infirm. Simply anyone who is under the age of 40 is branded a waste of space and has first hand destroyed 'their' country. Adding to the unemployment figure and claiming hefty benefits by popping out sprogs at every given opportunity. Apparently it's their god given right to treat everyone, who isn't bordering on dead, with sheer contempt and as for manners please don't get me started.

I would like to remind said old people that it's actually my taxes, from the job that on a daily basis I dislike with a passion where the only perk getting in early to ogle the comms technician (who shall be known as 'him') that actually funds their pension and in turn keeps them in their blue rinses and tenna pants. Respect ladies and gents is a two way street!

Not content with openly discussing what a bunch if losers today's generation is I also had to listen to and justify my lunchtime meal choice. Apparently choosing a vegetarian option is not what our forefathers fought for our country for. Who would have thought they were fighting the battle against vegetarianism!

Anyway, today's bitter rant is over and it's time to enjoy the last meal of turkey and tinsel. Dads drunk already so it's set to be another 'interesting' night!
