Special delivery?
You know what they say - kids are more interested in the box than the toys.
Corin told James he had got him a box. I flippantly said "go get in it"...James ran straight into the living room and did exactly that. Then Corin lifted the box up with him in it.
My boys are strange, and beautiful, but strange none-the-less!
Loooooooooooong day but not tetchy fortunately.
Fisherking is now officially my guardian and clearly has a checklist
1. Check if Hebs has eaten
2. Check if Hebs is taking her tablets
3. Check Hebs...alive, warm, doing OK.
It's nice and reassuring to know that I have him and so many others looking out for me, especially as this morning it was touch and go whether I could actually physically get out of the car when I arrived at work. Fortunately, a breakfast of tea, ibuprofen and my tablets seemed to help so that by 10am I was 'managing'. It helped that the kids have been fab and very productive today. No issues makes Hebs a happier bunny.
Fire Marshall training after school for the senior team - was not looking forward to it. However, we know our stuff and our training consultant was smashing, and intelligent enough to acknowledge that we were obviously fully conversant with regulations etc, so he modified his approach. A walk around school highlighted some minor things, but overall, his judgement was that the school was shit hot and that the ethos and culture of the school was obviously sound - the biggest compliment you can get from a visitor is to be told that if they had school age kids they'd send them to you - this is what he said to us.
Doctors appointment tomorrow for blood tests.
Soon to get into hot bath then bed as pain has returned again and the ibuprofen seems not to be touching it currently. Boo.
Apologies for obvious down in the dumps entry last night. My emotions are like a rubber ball - bouncing all over the place with very little control!
