Every Path has its Puddle

Walking up into the mountains to our small house in the village of Tijhza was one of the highlights of the trip. A small winding road led us up through clusters of houses and between crumbling walls and into the cool of the higher ground. It had rained a little today and there was definitely a chill in the air, but the sunset didn't disappoint.

As we headed upwards, we met a steady stream of local people - some with heavily laden donkeys, some washing their clothes in the river and some it seems, came out just to say hello! The welcome was warm, sincere, and very much appreicated.
