If your pumpkin looked like this...would you still make it into pie? That's what this one will be.

It would be very hard to carve into a jack-o-lantern though.

Official Turkey Day may be over, but that doesn't put us out of holiday mood. Students asked why we only had pumpkin pie in fall/winter. "Because that's when pumpkins are ripe." I said.

Lucky me, here pumpkins like this are available all year. However, a spring pumpkin pie just doesn't sound as good.
