It's Thanksgiving . . .
. . . in America.
America, God has indeed . . . "shed His grace on thee."
This is an amazing holiday -- if it is kept as it was intended -- being thankful for, well, for everything . . .
. . . Breath. Heartbeat. Emotion. Wonder. . . . just to name a few.
Really -- it isn't about "Black Friday" and now "Black Thursday." Those are sales that translate into putting businesses into the "black" and out of the red.
As a nation, we used to just gather together as family and friends and celebrate our thankfulness. It was actually pretty terrific. Now we are bombarded by Madison Avenue with the concept that we need to be camped-out in some shopping center parking lot on Thanksgiving Day ready for the doors to open just after mid-night to rush in to get the best deals during this "Christmas Shopping Season."

This photo is us with "Grammie Fun" in the front seat as Mr. Fun, her son, drives us to our Thanksgiving gathering. Grammie Fun celebrated her 89th birthday earlier this month. Notice the lack of traffic on the freeway -- we were thankful. Notice the view, amazing view of the clouds tumbling over the tops of the foothills -- we are thankful.
I hope you've had a great Thanksgiving holiday--no matter how you choose to celebrate: gathering with family and friends or camping-out to get the best deals.
From Southern California: Happy Thanksgiving.
