Addictions.

I remember being told a while back that the bingo was enjoyable, somewhere that people who didn't have much to look forward in their daily lives could go to meet up and have a bit of fun. The prospect of winning a bit of cash also gave them a bit of hope. I thought that was bollocks then and I think it's all bollocks now. As with every other addiction, it's just another way for a few to profit at the expense of the many.

Look at that grinning, hair tossing numpty and ask yourself how much chance these women ever had or will have to be like her. This is cynical advertising at its very worst.

I just wonder if the woman in the wheelchair, who had lost both her legs and who was still outside having a fag, was yet another one of the many individuals you often see around Ninewells after they've had a limb or two removed because of the effect the daily drag has had on their cardiovascular system. Ah well, better the money's in the tax man's pocket I guess...
