Narcissus albidus

Narcissus albidus comes from the mountains of Morocco and Algeria although this one is a 'stray' seedling that has escaped into a crocus bed in the greenhouse. Typically they open a creamy yellow, fading to pure white as the flowers age. This one has a particularly widely flared corona (trumpet if you like) which makes it especially attractive.

Compare it with my other autumn narcissus blip which has a less flared corona.

For scale, this one has a flower 3cm across.
