Christmas Feel

Hannah & I worked on the interior Christmas decorating today (sans tree, which will probably happen next weekend) while Paul did the outdoor lights. It was in the mid-60's (F) today, so it was the ideal time to take care of those tasks. Still, he was grumbling like Scrooge, so we just stayed in our own zone until he was finished. This is a star globe we hang at the front porch, & it's simplicity makes it a favorite of mine. I put out the things I really enjoy or have sentimental connections with rather than overloading the house. The white feather trees, the silver ball ornaments, glass votive cups, vintage painted ornaments, cinnamon-scented candles, tiny lights...add sparkle and elegance that make the place feel festive but not overdone. The flannel sheets are getting a washing to make the bed extra cozy as well for the winter season. The Christmas feel is here.
