B for billboards

We started the day by driving on an unpaved road up a mountain. At one point, a local man guided us through the snow-covered dirt road to ensure that we wouldn't slip down the steep rocks. We ended up at a horse stable at the top, where a local woman put us on two of her horses and walked us through a trail with breathtaking views of the raw land down below and abandoned mines. Later, we hung out in south Denver and made our way down to our third hotel in Manitou Springs, a delightful little town nestled between mountains. We spent the rest of the day/evening visiting many little shops around town and cozying up by the fireplace in our 4-star room (which is in one of the top 100 hotels in the world.)
