Stone necklace
November 11th, 2011. 11.11.11. Our 2-year anniversary.
We started the day by boarding a little red cog train, which took us up 14,110 feet above sea level. The Pike's Peak Cog Railway is the world's highest cog railroad. Even though it was a tourist trap, we had a lot of fun and enjoyed breathtaking views such as the one above. When we reached the top, we discovered that the cold, cold air was so thin it made us light-headed. It was a completely different world from down below. I think it was the highest I've ever been. Highest as in height, not, well, you know....
Next, we trekked over to Denver and met up with my uncle Peter before heading back home. Le sad.
The whole vacation was pretty much our 2-year-anniversary celebration, but we still took the time to stop in North Platte, NE to have our anniversary dinner.
At this point, I had accumulated a long list of things to do, places to patronize, and lifestyle improvements for when Jeff and I move there.
