A Change of Plan!

I went to furniture restoration class this evening expecting to remove this "odd" piece of veneer and replace it, but was told to stain and seal with polish and "we" will paint in new grain to make it blend in with the rest of the surrounding veneer. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.

This has been another busy day. Before we travelled home from Worcestershire we visited Granddad (my father in law) who has a nasty chest infection. He is a little better today, but has a long way to go. He is so determined to be independent, that it is difficult to help him at times!!

Our daughter will visit him tomorrow to celebrate his 94th birthday.

Tomorrow I will start to catch up with the backlog of jobs on the list.
