A & E at 4.00am

Working the night shift and in the dark miss judged the last step and went over on my ankle. Just about managed to hobble off and climb back over a 6ft gate.

My ankle hurt, a lot, so off to A & E I went at 4.00am to be told they were busy and it would be a few hours before I got seen. That info didn't ring true with the state of the waiting area.

Luckily after just 40mins wait I got seen. Diagnosed with a sprain and told to elevate, ice and ibuprofen for 3 to 4 days.

So here I am on the sofa with a bag of peas on my ankle taking it easy. Given the weather I'm not too worried about being kept in doors!
