Mosquito Bay

Nice view to wake up to this morning, had a bit of a stretch and decided to make a cuppa sitting on the jetty. Had our breakfast perched on a big bit of drift wood and started our day!

We kayaked out to Onetahiti beach and enjoyed the views. Then we headed out around Tonga Island and saw seals sitting on the rocks! We attempted to kayak around to Shag Harbour but the waves were pretty big and coming in at all angles so we abandoned the attempt just before we reached our destination. Not before we had a seal swimming along side us checking us out! It was fantastic to see it so close up and putting our paddling skills to shame with its speed!

After catching our water taxi at Onetahiti beach we headed back to Marahau to collect our car. On the way to our hostel Eden's Edge (second favourite hostel ever) near Motueka we stopped at the Monkey Wizard Brewery to sample the local beer. Finding a really nice lager we bought a large bottle to enjoy after our hard days work.
