Norwich Rally November 30
I reckon over 2,000 people gathered outside City Hall in Norwich today from all walks of life. Local band Red Flags were fantastic as ever, the speeches short, sharp and thought provoking.
A student from UEA spoke extremely powerfully - students ocupied the UEA Registry last night in a protest at the proposed closure of the UEA Music school.
And at the risk of sounding preachy or like a broken record:
Be the change you want to see.
Think about how you live your life.
Don't piss on people, or profit at their expense.
Ask if you can do anything to help your friend, neighbour, relative or colleague who may have already or be about to lose their job or who may be struggling. Like the Lottery slogan says: It could be you!
The guy in this photo is my chum Vince Laws: poet, artist and activist for the rights of disabled people.
