Tolerance and Coexistance
This tolerance monument is erected just outside the UN headquarters which stands on the "Hill of evil counsel" in Jerusalem. I find this monument a bit objectional as well as the UN. The UN is so intolerant of Israel in the world.
I had an experience some years ago when I was in a dentist's chair. I was thinking about something someone had said to me about tolerance and coexistance. My thinking ran something like this; IF I believed in tolerance and coexistance, why am I sitting in this chair allowing this fellow to charge me to inflict pain inside my mouth? Why do I not just let the decay in my tooth coexist right where it is? The reason why I do not let the decay stay is because it will eventually destroy the whole tooth.
This goes on in many areas of our lives, how about a fungus that sometimes infects a foot between the toes, come on be tolerant and let it coexist. Sorry, no. Then there are viruses that infect our bodies, I will not tolerate it, period. How about mice that want to take over your house or termites, well, no, no tolerance.
How about a murderer or a theif, no, we put them away and do not coexist with them. I serve a God of love and will not tolerate the god that wants to steal, kill and destroy. I will however pray that they find my God.
Enough said, I think.
