a totally different birthday

Ross, with Nell in the backpack. It's a beautiful winter's day and we went walking along a high ridge above the canal and ended up the final stretch down this lovely woodland bocage path.
It's my birthday today and I can't believe how fast the year's gone. This time last year it was knee high snow at the mill and I was tucked up in snug Pontivy hospital in a bubble with my new baby girl. My best birthday ever. This year it's been so mild we were eating outside last week, and strolling around in the sunshine today. A peaceful day.
