Life on a Rock and More

Bouldering -climb indoors with a soft matt under u

AM woke up a little later than normal (8am). Went out for lunch with the olds to Cheltenham. (Cafe Rouge)

Then went to The Warehouse in Gloucester for a indoor climb. First climb in a long while. Felt great. Fair few kids on a school trip, it is great to see some young folk hopefully getting into the sport. Especially the little lass, who asked lots of questions, lots and lots.

5 reasons why climbing is good:
Feeling of fluid movement over the rock (going up)
Companionship of your climbing partners in a way which can only be found by army type comrads (but with climbing you don't fire guns)
Meeting friends. (see above)
Ending up in places that you never of thought you would end up
Healthy sport (if it all goes ok)

The Picture is of the bouldering wall at the venue. It is a piece of art which has been turned into a playground for climbing by fine tuning shapes into handholds. Re-enforced fibreglass at its best. It is based on an animal - can you work out which one?

My arms and legs hurt now........
