x-ray view...

...of the christmas cactus

a bitter cold day today... and since i'm not feeling well i decided not to venture out - relying on the fading blossoms of my cactus once again... doing some playing around - ending up with an image that somehow reminds me of one that is like an x-ray - or transparent to a degree... perhaps a bit on the fringes of sci-fi...

i do like to experiment - not stay within the ordinary bounds sometimes - i suppose i could have snapped the simple cactus blossom and called it a day - but isn't it a wonder when we have the ability to push ourselves to create... to venture outside the known and try... to push a bit regardless of what others might say or think or feel and see what the true artist within can express? i say yes - for it's then that we are free on the playground of life to be... when was the last time you took a chance - drew outside the lines - stepped off the edge, just a bit... to try something you thought you might not ordinarily do - it doesn't have to be something big... little steps are very good. go for it - will you? today... maybe tomorrow? give it a go...
