Tom Tower
I had to capture Tom Tower en route to London this morning - it was quite a dull start to the day but the Cotswold stone still managed to catch the light. A good omen for the rest of the day.
I love Christopher Wren's beautiful tower and its peculiarities: its bell, Great Tom, is sounded 101 times every night just after 9pm which number represents the 101 students in the college at the time the tower was completed. The timing is just afer 9pm as Oxford time is different to Greenwich time, being almost 5 minutes later.
