Santa Claus is Coming to Town...

Strange day today. I'd taken it as holiday to do some Christmas shopping but ended up doing two conference calls for work first thing. Then just as I was thinking about going out, an email popped up - from my own old hotmail account with a dodgy link in it.

Oh great, hacked! I've had that email address for well over 10 years, old work contacts, all my family, old friends - over 100 contacts. But I use a different one now, just get mails forwarded from that address but don't use it. Then started getting messages from family and friends, had I been hacked? At least two people clicked on it - and I never send silly emails or jokes round, what were they thinking?! Changed my password of course, and then decided to sort out the rest of the emails and contacts held on that account with a view to closing it down altogether.

All of a sudden it was 2.30pm and I was due at the dentist for a check up and hygienist visit at 2.55pm! Just got there on time, and good news, nothing needed doing so that was a relief.

Quick trip then to Cheltenham to pick up Gary's daughter - time for a speedy look round Debenhams where I managed to buy a couple of presents including work Secret Santa (oops, outspent the £5 budget as it was £8 but perfect for the person whose name I've picked out) - and also saw this great sign in another shop nearby.

Still haven't made my list so I've probably ended up getting too much for some people and nothing for others - I buy for 28 people so really need to be a bit better organised!

Exhausted now, forgot about the quick trolley dash round Tesco's on the way home - so I have managed to shop but not in the leisurely way I had planned, with a couple of coffee breaks!
