What a jolly kind chap!
Early this morning, Leutnant Johannes Janzen, of Jasta 6, popped over the North Sea in his Fokker Dr1, to remind me that today is my 365th blip. Sadly the lads at the AA battery at the mouth of the Ythan spotted him crossing the dunes in the moonlight and opened up with their guns. Thankfully he escaped without the proverbial scratch and is now safely back in France, tucking into his breakfast in the Offiziersmesse.
I have very much enjoyed my first year of blipping; it is a terribly compulsive but enormously rewarding pursuit. It is a great pleasure each day to peruse the huge diversity of photographs that others have produced and to read and to learn from the entries and from the comments that people make. Now, for the second year ....
