The first mountain awakening
The new bosses were coming round for breakfast, so I arose shamefully early in anticipation of their arrival. It was barely light outside, but I could tell straight away that the first snow had come. Bulbous dancing snowflakes found their journey to the ground, casting a covering of perfect powder on every available surface. As we booted up + pootled round our neighbourhood for the first time, we just couldn't believe that this is our new home!
Firsts for everything round here too, like an invitation to a dinner party at our chalet that evening saw us wining + dining with some people who were equally as enthusiastic about the mountains. We pretty much talked about snow all evening, and it was quite something getting to play g u e s t s in our new workplace. We made the most of playing the receivers, as soon the tables will be swiftly turned + hosts Dan and Anna will crank into action.
Estimated snow fall for one day : 1 metre, and still falling. . .
