Out and about again today - this time Tufnell Park. Jet setting again I know I know.
The place appears to get it's name having been granted to a certain William Tufnell (good name) around 1705. Tufnell Park Road runs along a Roman road from the Holloway Road to Hampstead Heath. Looking at a map it is the only straight road in the area!
Serious development only started around 1845 - the first railway boom which probably dates this building. I find it all too easy to overlook these gems. Partly because there are quite a lot of them and partly because all the street clutter, street lights, traffic lights, warning signs etc. etc completely obliterates the view.
Some may think it's a bit of a meringue, but I quite like them. This one is in quite good condition too.
