App blip

I hate phones. I would explain why, but the ever wonderful Steven Fry does it way better than me in this QI clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvfGdLNz5JA (at 3.33mins). I never call anyone and I find it annoying to be called. I much prefer email or text, simply because I can do that when it suits me and people can answer me when it suits them.

I have an Iphone. God knows why. I could easily do with a much simpler phone.

Also, I'm a bit of an imbecile when it comes to *apps*. As soon as I read: "download this app!", I get very nervous, drop the phone as if I burned myself, retreat and mumble something in the lines of: "Oh no... I'm way too busy to be doing with this nonsense. I have a life, you know!".

Our darling daughter, however, didn't give up this time. She sent me at least two personal messages on FB, then started emailing me to "download this app, pleeeease! You'll love it! Play with me!" So, since it's a mad stormy day out there and I was slightly bored, I felt I had to give in. I'm now addicted and I actually feel quite young, modern and clever (not to mention a little less of an imbecile). ;)

PS... We play in English, even though we're both very Dutch. Good for the old grey cells.
