Wild outside...

...so it is a good day to carry on wrestling with how to get a good image of a pine cone. There is so much wonderful detail in the scales that I would love to reproduce, but I'm finding it hard to get a close up which has focus across the image. Fooling about with different settings and this one is not too bad. The scales are sensitive to humidity and in the dry atmosphere of the house they have opened up unevenly as they scatter their seed - this one appears almost to dance away from the camera.
My business logo is a pine cone (seeEveryday Mindfulness Scotland ), but I have a long way to go before I get an image as good as the one on my site!
