Today's the day ........................... for a signed photograph

This photograph which hangs on the wall in my Mum's house never fails to make me smile. It was a Christmas present given by Rob to his Grandmother several years ago and there was no disguising the fact that he was really chuffed to be giving it to her.

The reason that he thought that she would be pleased was because she was a fan of the TV programme Neighbours and this was a photograph of one of the leading characters autographed by the man himself. He also played in a band called Waiting Room and one of Rob's friends had gone to listen to them play a gig. Rob had asked his friend to ask for a signed photograph for his Gran - and this is it.

The thing that makes me smile is wondering what would have been going through Alan Fletcher's mind as he signed it - To Rob's Gran. It could hardly have persuaded him that he was at the pinacle of his career as a pin-up/rock star - or even actor! But all credit to the man he did sign it, and he made at least two people very happy ...........................
