Calving Childs Glacier

My sister and nephew are visiting for a week. To make their trip interesting, I booked a ferry trip to Cordova for a few days. One of the must sees near Cordova is the Childs Glacier which abuts the Copper river and regularly "calves" into said river. The sound is quite eerie. It sounds a bit like a thunderstorm.
