Four Go Mad in Woolacombe

Crazy woman who squats in the sand with her camera and collects shells like a child, crazy man who throws tennis balls so far into the sea that we nearly lose the dog, crazy child who climbs rocks and makes unfathomable observations about things that no one else can quite decipher and crazy dog who doesn't care how cold it is he just LOVES the sea and is going in anyway and might eat some cuttlefish and seaweed while he's at it, all went to Barricane beach at Woolacombe today and had the little bay all to themselves and their weirdness.

We got back and the bigger kids had been to town to do some Christmas shopping. Teen 2 bought himself a woolly blue beanie and I noted that it looked like a tea cosy. He said, 'What's a tea cosy?'
