Something wonderful

1. As I sit in bed, typing up a Blip from yesterday, I start to hear Silent Night. I think whoever it is playing it has it on a bit loud. Then it dawns on me that it's live. I look out of my bedroom window and there's a choir of carolers right there. They do two or three more and move along. It's the most wonderful thing to wake up to.

2. It makes me feel Christmassy. Not in a 'let's go shopping' way, but in a spirit of kindness and warmth and it makes me send a message.

3. I'm lucky that the message is received in the spirit it was sent and a few hours later there is a ring at the doorbell. The second lovely surprise of the day.

4. Afternoon turns to evening in the most pleasant of ways.

5. A day of small surprises and second chances.
