Rough night?

Came back to a stormy wet Brighton last night, from sunny France. This morning the skies were clear and blue. I can always tell when the sea has been really rough because certain things wash up on the beach - lots of dead fish, and starfish.

Something obviously happened while I was absorbed in taking this photo, because when I got back home with the dog I noticed a very strong smell. While my back was turned he'd rolled in something decayed and fishy. To his credit he didn't even argue when I pointed him towards the shower.
