Happy Birthday Robert Noyce

Just about to start looking for inspiration this evening and I saw the Google Doodle in honour of Robert Noyce who would have been 84 today. It seems he is a bit of an unsung hero in the history of computing with many thinking he should have been awarded a Nobel Peace Prize on two occasions.

I regret I didn't know anything about him - he was the co creator of Intel!

So there was my excuse to canibalise the defunct laptop. Mrs W was impressed that I was throwing away the junk - then she realised I was blipping! All brownie points vanished!

It gives me a good excuse to try out my light tent and magnifying lenses.
