Ilex something-something no doubt

No Christmas photo series can ever be complete without these guys. While I don't object to holy shrubs on principle, I am often astounded by their typical placement. Why, in the name of Merlin's left pant leg, would anyone plant something so obviously hostile right next to walking paths???

No, I take it back, I do object to holy shrubs on principle. They look fake, they scratch, and the berries are toxic to humans. Take that! ;-)

I have spent an entire day Being Productive. Feel tired just thinking about it. :-)
