Sailors take warning

There was a fabulous sunrise and sunset today, and the clouds were looking interesting all day. We had a freezing fog last night which coated everything in a powdered sugar glaze. It was very pretty. It also kept our traffic officers busy on accident calls.

Last night as we were leaving the football game, we passed the train we will be taking this Saturday. A local travel agency puts it on every year, it's called the "Snow Train" and it goes up into a mountain pass where there's a pretty Bavarian village. Lots of kitschy shops and schnitzel, all decked out with Christmas lights. The day culminates in the tree lighting ceremony, then back on the train for dinner. I'm sure a lot of blip opportunities. Looking forward to getting up to the real snow.
