Hump Day...

...and an emergency blip. To work in the dark, appointment at lunch, home in the dark. It's getting close to December 21st at the 47th parallel. There's lot a humbugedness rolling about, but we do have a couple of poinsettias at work, just about the only sign of the impending holiday. At home you'd never know.

I was in Jamaica once, and they took us to see where the poinsettias grew wild. It didn't look at all like this plant, it was huge and not adorned with gaudy glitter. Kind of like seeing wild begonias in Costa Rica.
