#2 Diamond Mine - King Creosote & Jon Hopkins
Album: Diamond Mine
Artist: King Creosote & Jon Hopkins
One line synopsis: Folky homage to the East Neuk of Fife
Best Track: Bats in the Attic
---------------------------------
To my mind King Creosote is to be credited with revitalising the Scottish music scene, there was a period where post Belle & Sebastian and Chemikal Underground not much was happening in Scotland. Now there's all sorts of bands cropping up and their DIY ethic can be linked straight back to Kenny Anderson's Fence collective. Long live the King.

Notes on the top 10:
* Yes I am sad enough to do a top 10 every year
* All albums must have been released this year
* I must own the physical copy of each of them
* I'm fairly sure there are other albums out there that would make this list had I got round to buying them - Grouper, Nils Frahm and Oneohtrix Point Never spring to mind
